Within easy reach of the West coast of France and the famous resort of La Rochelle, La Roche-Posay is situated just a stones throw away from the celebrated city of Poitiers.

La Roche-Posay is the home of the Cherry Lodge Holiday Apartments: Les Lauriers (1 bedroom apartment, sleeps 1-4), La Lavande (1 bedroom apartment, sleeps 1-4), Les Tournesols (2 bedroom apartment, sleeps 1-6) and Les Vignes (2 bedroom apartment, sleeps 1-6). The accommodation is housed in a restored 18th century former farmhouse and its stables which have been carefully restored retaining original features, while at the same time offering those all important modern home comforts. The apartments are set in their own tranquil grounds, with a private outdoor swimming pool, providing perfect accommodation for a great family holiday or a relaxing spa treatment break at the world famous local spas.


The holiday apartments also serve as an excellent base from which to explore the picturesque landscape of this charming region of France. Whether you feel like exploring the wine growing areas of the Loire with its many Chateaux or the fine distilleries of Cognac, Cherry Lodge is ideally situated for many attractions, the most popular of which being Futuroscope the motion picture theme park. You can also go back in time and explore the medieval villages of the area, such as Angles sur L'Anglin nominated as one of France's "Beaux Villages" or go even further back to the time of cave dwellers.

The elegant and historic town of La Roche-Posay, teeming with restaurants and cafes is famous for its thermal bath cures and spa centres that use the exceptional qualities of the natural spring water for their treatments.

The town also boasts a casino and racetrack - with about six race meetings per year. For the more active holidaymaker La Roche-Posay has its own golf course and is in fact is one of the most scenic regions in Vienne.

The area offers great fishing for those interested, as La Roche-Posay is actually just west of the Regional Natural Park of Brenne with its many lakes.
